摘要
The number of wireless data transmission is expected to grow massively in next few years due to increasing number of global internet users and network devices. In order to occupy these increasing traffic demands, Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is a major possibility factor since it will increase the energy and spectral efficiency by considering the hop gains and reuse when radio resources are properly placed to the cellular and D2D layers. In this paper, cellular and multi-hop D2D are analysed using Network Simulator and Emulator (NetSim) in order to find the most optimal D2D hopping to achieve high throughput with zero packet error. Based on the result, zero throughput is obtained for cellular mode with the distance of 4000 meters from eNodeB (eNB) to User Equipment (UE). The throughput with highest data transfer is obtained for D2D mode with four hops which shows that D2D mode is highly recommended for the case where UE is located far away from eNB. Then, analysis is done by increasing the packet size to 5000 bits for each 20000 mu s interval and the results show that the packet error rate is only 0.15% which is acceptable for reliable communication links.
