摘要
Leadership is one of the determining factors for the successful management of an institution or institution. Spiritual leadership in religious institutions or Islamic boarding schools (IBSs) has its characteristics. This study wants to describe the spiritual leadership model in IBSs. This type of research is qualitative research with a case study approach. The number of careful participants was 14 people consisting of senior and young Kiai leaders from several IBSs. Data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique consisted of data collection, data reduction, and data interpretation. The research findings indicate that spiritual leadership is divided into three, namely meditation, mediation, and reflection. Meditation behavior is formed from inspiration, knowledge, cultural experience, and local wisdom. Mediating behavior involves self-integration, social interaction, and intuition. Meanwhile, reflection is a form of decision making and self-correction. This research generally has benefits for management in religious education institutions, especially IBSs. The category of senior and young leaders is a form of the result of the spiritual leadership process. Further research that is more comprehensive in various aspects will increase the contribution in the world of religious education.
