摘要：

The paper introduces the current development and problems of S&T information industry under the National Facilities and Information Infrastructure for Science and Technology in China. It discusses the roles of traditional information institutions as library or information center and the commercial information service providers, emphasizes on the important effort that the S&T information enterprise contribute to the development of science and technology. Several suggestions are given to the information service industry.
