摘要：

The effects of darkening the sample surfaces in thermal diffusivity measurements by laser flash method have been studied both experimentally and theoretically. In particular, by modelling the thermal properties of the blackening layers, a prediction of the relative error in the thermal diffusivity evaluation has been obtained and a good agreement with the experimental results has been observed.
