摘要
Pedestrian-level wind environment can be assessed by wind-tunnel testing, field measurement, and more recently, by numerical computation. The wind speed data obtained through these methods can be combined with local meteorological records to determine the occurrence frequencies of wind speeds below or exceeding the threshold values for specific pedestrian activities. This short paper illustrates the basic procedures for the assessment of pedestrian-level wind environment around buildings through wind-tunnel testing.
