This research investigates the effect of the conjugated heat transfer and the microflow parameters on the thermoelastic response of the solid boundaries of a semi-infinite rectangular micro-channel. The effects of various parameters such as Knudsen number, Blot number, solid-to-fluid thermal conductivity ratio, and the channel length on the thermoelastic response are presented. The increase of the microchannel length reduced the support reaction forces and decreased the axial in-plane and the transverse thermal displacements. The increase of either the conduction heat transfer ratio or the Blot number has led to decreasing both the generated stresses and displacements. The Knudsen number increase has increased the transverse deflection and slightly increased the in-plane displacement and stresses. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
