摘要：

National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, is installing one of the largest cogeneration power plants ever built for the Federal government that will boost energy efficiency, cut costs and reduce air emissions. On site generation of utility using cogeneration, produces reliable electricity, reduces regional pollution and reduces energy costs. Cogeneration is the simultaneous production of electricity and taking advantage of the heat that is normally exhausted to generate steam also called Combined Heat and Power (CHP).
