摘要
A new dimorphic copper selenite bromide, Cu-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2 was obtained via chemical transport reactions. alpha-Cu-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2, monoclinic (1m) and beta-Cu-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2,Br- triclinic (la) polymorphs were produced simultaneously upon reaction of amorphous, partially dehydrated copper selenite and copper bromide. lm is similar to Cu-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2, whereas la is distantly related to Ni-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2 and Cu-5(SeO3)(4)Br-2. Attempts to reproduce synthesis of la via exchange reaction between Na2Se03 and CuBr2 resulted in a new Na-2[Cu7O2](SeO3)(4)Br-4 (2). Current study demonstrates for the first time, that both chemical vapor and exchange reactions can be employed in preparation of new selenite halides. (C) 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS.
