Study on the energy saving and the performance of air conditioner with variable speed compressor

摘要
Capacity control of heat pumps and air-conditioners has traditionally been accomplished by cycling the compressor on and off. There is much energy lost and large temperature waving when cycling the compressor on and off. One obvious means of improving equipment efficiency and increasing reliability is to reduce the amount of compressor cycling. The improvement in efficiency and comfort can be realized through the use of a continuously variable-speed compressor. The operating characteristics of variable-speed compressor are sufficient different from those for the single-speed equipment. When the load of air-conditioner varies, the variable speed compressor is controlled to change the refrigerant flow by the inverter. And the fans and the electronic expansion valve are also controlled to keep the airconditioner working at the best state steadily. Both the energy saving and the thermal comfort are improved remarkably by the using of air conditioner with variable speed compressor (VSAC).
