The representation of weighted distributions given by Blazej [Blazej, P., 2008. Preservation of classes of life distributions under weighting with a general weight function. Statist. Probab. Lett. 78, 3056-3061] is developed. New relations between weighted distributions and classes of life distributions and stochastic orders are established. (C) 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
