摘要
This paper proposes improvement of the boundary conditions for the thermal model of laser-induced solid heating and ablation. The refinement of the model takes into account the back flux from the vapor cloud to the evaporation surface. For a wide range of evaporation rates, the value of the back flux was determined by direct Monte Carlo simulation of vapor cloud expansion. The obtained back flux values are substituted to the thermal model. The improved model has been shown to be in good agreement with the experimental results on graphite as an example.
