Instability of hydrodynamic flow with volume energy sources

摘要
The results of a study of the instability of a hydrodynamic compressible flow with the volume energy sources are presented. The initial system of equations are linearized with respect to the disturbances in the standard way and the resulting linear system in the commoving frame of the undisturbed flow has a defined form. The requirement of the existence of a nontrivial solution of the system yields the equation for the instability growth rate. The complex growth rate corresponds to the growing or decaying oscillations and to a periodically increasing or decreasing disturbances. The growth rate imaginary part is found to be is nonzero, so that the disturbances have the form of oscillations which are oscillations with increasing or decreasing amplitude. The results also show that the disturbance amplitude should increase even if the motion is stable in the adiabatic case.
