摘要
This paper is focused on the development of a routine tool that is able to provide repeatable results for peak and continuous performance of switched reluctance machines (SRM). The motor peak performance is evaluated finding the best combination of turn on and dwell angle for the drive current control device. The procedure is slimmed through the introduction of an analytical optimizer and an analytical function for the magnetization curve calculation. The continuous performance is estimated taking into account the motor losses and calculating the motor temperature at each operating point To accomplishing these analyses, a complete map of the motor losses has been realized. Results have been gridded and successively interpolated. The motor thermal model utilized for the continuous analyses has been calibrated and validated through experimental results.
