摘要
Teaching requirements engineering requires adequate tool support. This paper describes the development of a GUI-based requirements editor that supports writing structured requirements specification, review of the specification and pretty-printing of the specification. The specifications will be written in a simplified form of IEEE Standards format for writing requirements specifications. The primary purpose of this tool is to help students learn requirements engineering process and also to help faculty members monitor students' progress. The tool is web-based and can be used by several groups of students at the same time. Adequate security measures have been included in the tool so that documents developed by each group are visible only to the members of that group and are not accessible by others. However, a faculty member will be able to view all documents. The tool has been implemented using Java and ZK framework and is easily extendible.
