摘要
Air pollution in Beijing was studied using a continuously operated two-wavelength polarization lidar. Heavy air pollution cases with dense aerosols in the lower layer were occasionally observed. Analysis using a chemical transport model showed that the regional scale movement of the atmosphere plays a predominant role in the air pollution phenomena in Beijing. In most of the pollution cases, a low pressure situates in the west of Beijing, and air mass enters from the south. After passing the low pressure to the east, air mass enters from the north or west. Mineral dust sometimes comes at the Same time.
