摘要
Frost could potentially limit the survival of hybrids between cultivated and wild carrots in natural habitats, and thereby the likelihood that (trans)genes spread from the crop to wild plants. To test this, cultivated, wild carrots and their hybrids were exposed to different frost treatments. Hybrids survived significantly less than the wild carrots, but only slightly better than the cultivars, indicating that frost will indeed limit their survival.
