Numerical computation for predicting the blast wave parameters from initial explosive exploding of Pb(N-3)(2) in steel container of blast-preventing has been conducted. The charge construction, along with its relevant technical parameters, and the safety strength of blast-preventing steel container have been discussed in detail. The numerical computation results show that the two mathematical models, one for shock wave parameters and the another for static confined eases performance, as well as their corresponding computer programme named ATVEP which was put forward by ourselve are quite agreeable with experiments. In addition, the final results confirm that the safe strength of the designed blast-preventing steel container is good enough to protect human being from being injured in case of exploding. This paper is useful to the engineers and designers who deal with blast-preventing steel container designing, industrial explosives and other relevant fields.
