摘要：
Genetic Algorithms (GA's) have been successfully applied to the design optimization of electromagnetic devices. In this paper, practical issues relating to the implementation of the technique are examined. The possibility of a premature convergence in some applications is studied. Recommendations and guidelines to take these practical implementation issues into consideration are explained.
