摘要
In this work, we studied modulational instability (MI) in an asymmetrical dual-core optical fiber with different power ratio at under normal (beta(2) >0) and anomalous dispersion (beta(2) < 0) regime. We investigate the variation of modulational instability for symmetric and asymmetric power. The result shows the influence of power in the frequency at which the MI gain appears. When the nonlinear coefficient interchanges within the same fiber there shows significant change in MI gain and bandwidth in both dispersion regime.
