摘要
The access to water resources, especially in arid zones, is an essential factor in the economic development and improvement of the living conditions of the population and their stabilization. The present work describes the hydrogeological set for Tindouf basin falling in the southwestern part of Algeria. Different controlling parameters of groundwater like lithology, structure, drainage density, slope, piezometry were obtained from remote sensing data, observation of existing wells and also the data collected from different Govt department. Based on the integrating of controlling parameters using GIS framework, the groundwater prospects map has been prepared through Index overlay model depicts the prospects in four categories: very good, good, moderate and low. This map has the objective of identifying sites for the implantation and management of wells with different flows, able to satisfy the different water demands for agriculture.
