摘要:
In this study, a low-cost, self-assembled wrinkle structured aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) was developed for crystalline silicon solar cells by a simple sol-gel deposition process. The deposited thin films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and UV-vis spectroscopy. It was found that by adapting the proposed AZO thin film coating, there is a reduction in reflectance between wavelengths of around 450-700 nm, which suggests a better light trapping. Crystalline silicon solar cells were fabricated with and without the wrinkled AZO integration and evaluated using a simulated solar light. It was found that the use of wrinkled AZO thin film resulted in a 20% increase in power conversion. The improvement in photovoltaic performances originated from the enhanced light trapping.
