摘要
The tremendous development in communication technology has led to the rise of a new topic called Big Data. Large scale wireless sensor network (LS-WSN) is one of the key contributors to big data that can produce a remarkable amount of data. Data collection pose a number of challenges to WSNs. To overcome these challenges various energy efficient routing algorithms are proposed. An energy efficient algorithm called Improved Big Data Efficient Gathering (I-BDEG) Algorithm for LS-WSNs is proposed. The establishment of clustering communication is based on the remaining energy of sensor nodes and distance among them. In our proposed technique, network lifetime is evaluated and enhanced. Utilizing the concept of sleep and active states of nodes, energy consumption is minimized. Simulation results indicate that our proposed approach enhanced the network lifetime and can be a useful approach for WSNs in military applications. The efficacy of the proposed technique is demonstrated through experimental results in terms of network lifetime acquired in MATLAB.
