Resistivity of Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 ferroelectric ceramics subjected to dynamic impact loading

摘要
Poled Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O-3 (PZT 52/48) ceramics have been prepared and impacted normally to the direction of polarization by a 40-mm gas-gun accelerated projectile. The impact depoled the PZT 52/48 ceramic and caused it to release electricity to the electrodes which was connected to an external resistor. The comparison of the voltage difference produced at the PZT specimen by the shock with that calculated from a simplified circuit model revealed that the resistivity of the PZT 52/48 ceramic under a 2.1-GPa initial shock stress was approximately 3.8 center dot 10(4) Omega-cm.
