摘要
The present survey resolves upon a general evaluation of the life and job situation of Viennese political science graduates (M.A.), and gives a retrospective assessment of their time of studying. It shows that - in its present shape - the study of political science has fulfilled the task to provide a basic and preliminary education with respect to later employment. Jobs and incomes of our respondents turn out to reach quite high levels, and the amount of graduates employed is also more satisfying. One half of the political science graduates is occupied by various public institutions and parties, the other being employed in the ''private'' sector, particularly in (mass) media. A clearly defined job profile resp. an identity as political scientists cannot be derived from our results. One cannot predict whether changing policies regarding the job market and the regulations of study will produce similar ''success stories''.
