摘要：
Violence against women occurs in the most diverse societies and is recurrent in human history. With this, the female sex was placed in a vulnerable situation and, therefore, the need for mechanisms for their protection and spaces for the exercise of their freedom. Protection has been gradually built up in the last decades, through the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Brasilian Federal Constitution of 1988. The aim of this work is to discuss about domestic violence, public policies and human rights based 13.641/2018 on Law. The methodological focus was documentary research in Police Reports about violation of protective measures in a Women's Police Station. It was possible to perceive an increase of the police reports after the announcement of violation of the protective measure, reinforcing the discussion about the necessity of creating, maintaining and strengthening public policies to protect the victims from its aggressors, as essential means of enhancing human rights.
