New nonlinear optical material: Glycine hydrofluoride

摘要
Single crystals of Glycine Hydrofluoride (GHF), a new semiorganic nonlinear optical material has been gown from solution by slow evaporation method at room temperature. Formation of the new crystal has been confirmed by single crystal XRD and IR spectra. GHF crystallizes in orthorhombic system with cell parameters a=5.4896 angstrom degrees, b=7.6617 angstrom degrees, c=8.5562 angstrom degrees. Optical transmission spectra revealed the optical properties of the grown crystals. The thermal stability of the crystal is investigated using thermo-gravimetric analyses studies. The NLO property of the crystal was confirmed by Kurtz SHG test. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
