摘要：

A simple and efficient procedure to automatically distinguish between uni-modal anti multi-modal scalar spectra, which is consistent with the random nature of the spectral density estimations, is proposed. The suggested methodology is based on the logarithmic transformation of the spectral estimations. Examples that demonstrate the procedure are presented. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
