Synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl 2-naphthols using ionic liquid with metal complex as an efficient and reusable catalyst under solvent free conditions

摘要
Pyridinium dicationic salt containing transition metal complex anion (1,1'-hexane-1,6-diylbis (3-methyl-pyridinium) tetrachlorocobaltate (II) (C-6(Mpy)(2)] [CoCl4](2-))) was used as a catalyst for the synthesis of 1-amidoalkyl-2-naphthols under solvent free conditions. The ionic liquid showed excellent catalytic performance. They could be recycled and reused for five times without much loss in its activity. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
