Precipitation Method for Nano Particle using Focused Ultrasound

摘要
An effective ultrasonic precipitation method for the recycle and collection of the nano particles is suggested. We designed a cylindrical piezoelectric transducer to precipitate nano particles effectively. The suspension of TiO2 was circulated through the center of a cylindrical piezoelectric transducer to receive the ultrasonic energy uniformly. The ultrasound from the transducer is focused in the glass tube where the suspension flows. The nano particles started to precipitate 40 minutes after 50 hour-ultrasound irradiation. To compare with other ultrasonic methods such as ultrasonic bath and ultrasonic homogenizer, the precipitated states from each method after ultrasound irradiation were observed. As the result, the suspension irradiated by focused ultrasound showed the best precipitation within the shortest time.
