摘要
Optical topography (OT) has been developed since 1995 as a new neuro-imaging method. In recent years OT has been positioned one of main modalities which can noninvasively measure the human brain function; e.g. Magnetoencephalography, functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging and OT. Advantages of OT can measure the human brain function under very natural conditions in comparison to other modalities. This is because, the OT employ near infrared-light which can easily penetrate in the deeper area of living tissue. Therefore, we can design OT by using small-size devices based on semiconductor technology like LASER-diodes and photo-diodes. OT system has been progressing from the first large system to the latest wearable system. The OT can be used anywhere and anytime for anybody, therefore it is used for the various studies in the understanding human nature and the clinical studies for the development of new diagnostic methods. In parallel, analytical computing method for elucidating the casual system including the brain function and automatic nerve functions.
