On Innovative Mechanisms of Cultivating Post-Olympic Reserving Talents for Competitive Sports - A Case Study of Zhejiang Model

At a post-Olympic time when the competitive sports system is under changes, with the philosophy that school sports serve as the basis of competitive sports, while the development of competitive sports, in turn, serve as a driving force of school sports, using ways of document literature, field work, experts interview, questionnaire and mathematical statistics, this paper makes an investigation on eight experimental middle schools in Zhejiang Province, summarizes the difficulties and their solutions in sports talents cultivating. Aiming at cultivating sports talents in schools for potential candidates, this paper claims that schools should function as a sports talents cultivating center, with extracurricular exercise training and social resources, schools should expand and supplement the sports talents pool. It's also claimed here that department of education and sports authority should cooperate under the guide of the government, so as to build up a coordinated process of sports talents cultivation "Zhejiang Model", thus to achieve a win-win situation.
