On final-state interactions in quasi-elastic electron scattering off nuclear matter

摘要
The nuclear response function for inclusive quasi-elastic electron scattering off nuclear matter, at high momentum transfers (\(q) over right arrow\ > 1GeV/c), is calculated within the framework of the Correlated Glauber Theory, which takes into account the short-range correlations in the Final-State Interactions (FSI) of the struck nucleon during its propagation in the nuclear medium. In particular, in this work, the effect of the initial momentum of the struck nucleon on its FSI is properly added.
