TRACKING PEDESTRIANS IN PUBLIC SPACE

Tracking pedestrians in public contains many different methods, which are used for analyzing movement and behavior of people. Except manual methods, when the tracking pedestrian are examined by human observers directly in analyzed area, we are using IT and GPS systems more often for those purposes. All methods are different, some of them are more expensive, some are more accurate. Choosing the right method for analyzing public space is necessary. This article describes new method, which combines using of streams from public webcams with manual analysis for observe public spaces as squares, boulevards, waterfronts etc.
