摘要
Among the key factors to maintain seed quality is the water content, the lower that for some species the longer maintenance of the viability of the seed, on the other hand there are species whose seeds are sensitive to desiccation. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to evaluate the physiological quality of seeds of Inga laurina (Sw.) Willd. subjected to desiccation. The experiment was conducted at the Center for Agricultural Sciences, Federal University of Para ba (CCA-UFPB) in Sand - PB, in a completely randomized design with treatments arranged in a factorial 2 x 8, totaling 16 treatments consisting of combinations of two locations (greenhouse and laboratory environment), and eight drying (0, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36 and 42 hours), with four replicates of 25 seeds each. To evaluate the effect of drying was determined the water content, germination and vigor (first count, rate of germination, length and dry weight of roots and shoots). Seeds I. laurina can be dried without loss of viability in the natural environment of the laboratory within 24 hours of drying with average temperature of 28.5 degrees C and relative humidity of 75%
