Description of stress-strain hysteresis loops with a simple approach

摘要
A simple approach is proposed to describe uniaxial stress-strain hysteresis loops of various strain amplitudes with few parameters in good approximation. This method is applicable for different materials such as steel 2.25Cr-1Mo and copper. It is shown that the approach allows a description of the stress-strain response for materials exhibiting both Masing or non-Masing behaviour. Furthermore, it is shown that the approach is applicable in a broad range of test conditions as e.g. different temperatures and strain rates. Copyright (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
