X-band RF MEMS phase shifters suitable for printed phased array antennas

摘要
In this paper, X-band RF MEMS phase shifter fabricated using flexible printed circuit technology is reported. A main-line type loaded line phase shifter has been implemented using two shunt MEMS varactors mounted on a CPW line. A phase shift of 31degrees with a maximum insertion loss of 0.56 dB has been obtained at 9 GHz for an applied dc bias voltage of 40 Volts. This type of phase shifter is suitable for batch integration with printed circuit based phased array antennas.
