摘要：

Since the beginning of the 21st century, the importance of information search tasks as part of the translation process has gained recognition through its inclusion within the dimension of instrumental competence. The aim of this article is to identify trends according to years of professional experience. It analyses the responses from a survey of professional translators for the English-Spanish language pair in relation to their information skills: information needs, Internet search strategies, types of sources consulted for different needs and criteria for evaluating the sources accessed.
