摘要：

Various 2-substituted-6-methyl-8H-pyrano-benzoxazoles were synthesized by condensing different substituted aromatic acids with 8-amino-7-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin in presence of polyphosphoric acid. The synthesized derivatives were tested for their antimicrobial and antiinflammatory activities. The constitution of the derivatives was elucidated on the basis of analytical and spectral studies.
