摘要
In this review of System's contributions to language teacher education research, we focus on 10 articles on language teachers, language teachers' learning and professional development, language teacher cognition, and language teachers' pedagogical practice, selected from a total of 147 relevant articles published in the journal (up to 2018). The review affirms the journal's commitment to the dissemination of scholarship for language teachers to improve their pedagogy. It highlights the journal's responsiveness to language teachers' shifting professional development needs in increasingly complex pedagogical contexts. We conclude the review with our thoughts about the areas where the journal should publish more research. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
