摘要：
Billions of devices are currently connected to the Internet forming the Internet of Things (IoT). These devices are generating enormous amount of data. The transmission and processing of this data is a challenging task. This paper aims at reviewing the role of big data in IoT through discussion of its protocols and architectural structure. Methods for testing these protocols and security considerations are presented. Multiple IoT applications and future research directions are also discussed.
