摘要
Face recognition is the frequently explored subdomain in the domain of image processing. It is quite a challenge to identify faces which have gone under the knife. Existing face recognition approaches are unsatisfactory for faces which have undergone plastic surgery. This paper proposes an approach for recognition of such faces using PCA (Principle component analysis) for dimension reduction and LBP (Local binary pattern) for feature extraction from the facial region and periocular region. Experimental results using this approach on a real-life facial plastic surgery database are found to be more promising than existing approach.
