摘要
Despite the widespread adoption of MRI and MR arthrography in the assessment of joint pathology, CT arthrography has a definite role to play in joint imaging. This article discusses some of the advances in CT technology that have facilitated the detailed evaluation of joints with CT. Indications for CT arthrography include a failed MR examination, evaluation of patients who have MR-incompatible hardware or metal debris or hardware in close proximity to a joint, and assessment of joint disease in obese and claustrophobic patients. Additionally, based on current literature, a case is made for specific applications of CT arthrography in each joint.
