摘要
The paper deals with a possible impact of implementation of General Data Protection Regulation on a Smart City concept in the area of electronic communications. The stake holders at electronic communications market will need to ensure full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation, ePrivacy regulation and the directive on security of network and information systems. Rigid application of data protection and e-privacy rules may slow down or even jeopardize roll out of the solutions for both Internet of Things and a Smart City concept. The roles of national regulatory authorities have been described in the case of Republic of Croatia.
