Characterization of the diversity and the transferrin-binding domain of gonococcal transferrin-binding protein 2

摘要
The molecular weight heterogeneities of Tbp1 and Tbp2 among a panel of 45 gonococcal isolates were assessed. The tbpB genes from four of these strains were sequenced to characterize the Thp2 sequence diversity among gonococci. By expressing truncated versions of gonococcal Tbp3, we delimited the extent of Tbp2 necessary for transferrin binding in a Western blot.
