Jeans instabilities in quantum dusty plasmas

摘要
We present an investigation of possible Jeans instabilities of self-gravitating astrophysical quantum dusty plasma systems with electrostatic perturbations. By using the quantum hydrodynamical equations for the charged plasma particles, together with Poisson equations for the electrostatic and self-gravitational potentials, we derive dispersion relations for three different cases. These dispersion relations are analyzed to obtain the stability criteria for various situations. The relevance of our investigation in arresting the collapse of dusty objects at quantum scales is pointed out. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
