摘要
The effects of acute temperature change on the cost of bluegill Lepomis macrochirus swimming were quantified. At 14 degrees C, maximum labriform swimming speed (U-lab,U-max) was reduced relative to that at the acclimation temperature of 22 degrees C, but total cost of transport (T-TC) remained unchanged. At 30 degrees C, U-lab,U-max was the same as at 22 degrees C, but T-TC was 66% greater.
