All preimaginal stages of Lipara similis are described and illustrated in 41 drawings. The facial mask, cephaloskeleton, spiracles and locomotory structures are considered. This is the first description of the first- and second-instar larva. Descriptions of the third-instar larva, egg and puparium are expanded.
