摘要：

This paper presents a framework for improving the quality a operation of a virtual enterprise. The framework integrates the key aspects facilitating and supporting collaboration between people participating in a virtual enterprise. These aspects encompass not only the processes in a virtual enterprise, but also the environment, people and means, and organisation. The multiplicity of contexts that have to be taken into account in assessing collaboration in a virtual enterprise is explicitly addressed. The framework is a result of the Esprit 23286 project FREE.
