摘要
This article presents some considerations on the definition of the concepts of urban regeneration and resilience, based on a review of the scientific literature of both terms and a discussion on the possibility of applying the respective readings in the context of recent urban interventions undertaken in the historic center of Sao Paulo (2010-2012). It uses the reading of the two processes and their associated phenomena in urban intervention actions aimed at the renovation of public spaces, adopting as a specific case study the Roosevelt Square, in the downtown area. As a result, we seek to verify how such issues are manifested in the studied territory, in order to verify the repercussions of such processes in the forms of use and appropriation of the square, in different periods.
