摘要
In order to survive and have a long term success a company has to adept permanently to the developments and changes of its environment. One of the fastest and most dynamic changes are those of the technological developments and innovations. The objective of this paper is to analyze which are the technological developments in the garment industry, how does a garment factory deal with these technological changes and which are the effects on the sustainable development of the company. There are analyzed the effects of the implementation of technologies in various fields of the sustainable development: in the economic field by the performance of the company, in the environmental domain by the effects which these technologies have on the environment and on the social and educational component by the social responsibility and way in which the human factor (the employees of the company) deal with these changes. All the presented aspects are analyzed based on observations, interviews with managers from the garment industry and the case study of a garment company in Romania. Observations have shown that often only a good implementation of new technologies at the right nine. helped companies to survive in an environment characterized by an intense competition.
